Door to Door Construction Ltd. is looking to hire 2 CONSTRUCTION HELPERS to assist tradesperson and perform labour activities at construction/renovation sites. We need people who can take orders and act promptly to tradesperson’s directions.
Job Title – CONSTRUCTION HELPER
Position – 2
Location – 9119 – 147 St. Surrey. BC
Wages: $20.85/hour (will be paid semi monthly)
Job Type – Full-time/ Permanent
Working hours: 35-40/week
Language - English
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
· Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding required at construction sites.
· Assist tradespersons such as carpenters & roofers in construction activities.
· Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.
· Assist in demolishing walls & partial structures using bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
· Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
· Assist in preparation for flooring as instructed by the tradesperson.
· Direct traffic at or near construction sites
· Mudding, taping, and sanding of surface to prepare for smooth finish.
· Prepare surface for taping & flooring.
· Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
Requirements:
· Heavy manual lifting ability is required
· Proactive and self-motivated
· Training will be provided.
· Team Player instinct required.
