PUNJAB MILK FOODS INC. is looking to hire 1 Production Tooling Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production tools and equipment of their dairy-based foods & Sweets manufacturing business. The applicant should have adequate experience to keep the production plant going and take care of any technical maintenance time to time.

Wage Rate: $30.00/hour for 37.5 hours a week
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Education: High School and a training course for maintenance Technician
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance of production equipment
Job Description:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production tools and equipment.
- Oversee the production which is machine based and keep the production plant going.
- Perform regular maintenance of the equipment to avoid any major trouble.
- Oversee cleaning, lubrication and test running of machinery.
- Confer with management to recommend equipment changes and upgradation of worn our equipment.
- Coordinate with professionals for major faults and repairs.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and defaults.
- Support the Maintenance Manager Support day-to-day operations and maintenance of the production facility, warehouse, and office area to ensure effective, efficient, and safe operations.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on fixed equipment, including but not limited to carton packer, cup fillers, extruders, flow-wrappers, metal detector, and vacuum packing machines, and agitators, blenders, and dosing pumps.
- Troubleshoot, repair and perform PMs on mobile equipment including but not limited to vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, material handling carts.
- Assist in repairing and/or troubleshooting of plumbing, electrical and mechanical issues, Operating and maintaining high/ low-pressure boilers, hot water system, and water treatment plant.
- Ensure all safety standards as described in the Food Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, and WorkSafeBC regulations are adhered to including protective equipment and clothing.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Work Environment
- Experience working in a technical/mechanical field, preferably in food manufacturing environment.
- Skilled at maintenance practices, procedures, and repair work, along with hand tools and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
