PUNJAB MILK FOODS INC. is looking to hire a Fourth Class Power Engineer for their dairy-based foods & Sweets manufacturing business. The applicant should have adequate experience and should be able to adjust, install, maintain, and repair machinery/equipment used for food processing

Wage Rate: $34.50/hour for 40 hours a week
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in production business
Job Description:
- Including but not limited to: adjusting, dismantling, installing, maintaining, optimizing, overhauling, and repairing machinery/ equipment
- Base knowledge of HMI, PLC and low voltage electrical control systems
- Broad mechanical knowledge particularly in high-speed manufacturing/pharmaceutical/packaging/food processing environment
- Completing work orders in a timely manner, fluent CMMS user, familiar with WO cycle from initiation to closing.
- Providing mechanical knowledge to/ and assisting in troubleshooting of food process machinery
- Identifying, developing, assisting, and implementing improvements on food process machinery
- Testing and performing quality control on food processing machinery/ equipment
- Performing routine maintenance on food processing machinery
- Supporting other maintenance department employees with their job duties if necessary
- Attending/ responding to food process machinery breakdowns in an adequate, effective and efficient manner
- Performing diagnostics for food processing machinery to identify problems, and to resolve the problems found
- Must be a hands-on person with knowledge of both mechanical and electrical aspects of the job.
- Following, interpreting, and understanding blueprints/ layouts to complete assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, Lean (Just in Time) 5S, Standard Operating Procedures, Total Production Maintenance, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
- Consideration will be given to Electrician or Instrumentation with strong mechanical aptitude.
- PLC training, thermal imaging, ultrasound, vibration analysis is an asset.
- Good knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of food processing machinery
- Ability to use manual/ power tools in a safe manner.
Work Environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Must be able to work alone or in a team.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and use aerial lifting.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Work in fluctuating hot and cold temperatures, grease and oils, and hot and cold environment (objects/surfaces/substances, humid environment, loud noise level and outside weather).
