PUNJAB MILK FOODS INC. is looking to hire 2 Quality Assurance Technician - Food Processing to perform the food quality check and grade the products of their dairy-based foods & Sweets manufacturing business. The applicant should have adequate experience to keep a close check of product and ensure quality maintenance in an effective manner.

Position: Quality Assurance Technician - Food Processing

Location: 6308 – 146th Street, Surrey. BC

Wage Rate: $22.00/hour for 37.5 hours a week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Education: College Program in a closely related descipline

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance

Job Description:

· Implement and maintain the quality management system, including HACCP and SQF, to ensure the continuous quality standards.

  • Ensure that food safety and quality assurance programs are properly implemented and maintained by following regulatory guidelines through auditing/inspection, product quality control, and data entry.
  • Provide support to operations with the objective of meeting food safety and quality requirements, while maintaining production efficiency.
  • Present a professional and respectful attitude when dealing with both internal and external contacts, and work towards facilitating a team atmosphere within the company.
  • Translate and incorporate good manufacturing practices (GMP) into operational practice.
  • Perform food safety and quality critical control point checks on processing lines as outlined in the HACCP and Quality Program requirements.
  • Work directly with production staff on testing protocols and requirements to meet and exceed quality and safety requirements.
  • Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards of raw materials and products.
  • Communicate with other departmental supervisors in a cooperative manner to meet food safety and quality compliance.
  • Participate in internal auditing and investigation process for corrective and preventative measures.
